Knowledge Summit 2018

For all those living in or near Dubai, Roxanne Meadows will be participating in The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) Knowledge Summit 2018, where she was asked to be a keynote speaker presenting the Global Resource Based Economy. The conference is scheduled for December 5th and 6th and is free to the public. This event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. It looks to be an interesting event with 110 sessions, 300 speakers, and an expected attendance of over 5000. If you will be attending, please be sure to introduce yourself to Roxanne.

In this lecture, Jacque Fresco scrutinizes the myths and values that have dominated history, including those related to decision making, individuality, superstitions, metaphysics, astrology, religion, prejudice, stereotypes, indoctrination, animism, purpose, love, justice, expectations, nudity, morality, competition, favoritism, holidays, rituals, marriage, and relationships. Fresco examines at length the creation stories of the Bible, as well as stories about Moses and Jesus Christ. In explaining the origin of consciousness, Fresco notes Paul Brunton’s book, “Quest of the Overself”.

Jacque Fresco: Functional Ethics

In this lecture, Jacque Fresco proposes the use of scientific studies to determine healthier patterns of conduct for human behavior, concluding that it cannot be enforced through legislation but rather encouraged through educational media promoted especially to children. Fresco seeks a system of environmental management that serves a specific end-goal which is collectively agreed upon. The topic is further explored through a group discussion using a case example of pornography and sexual behavior.
