Three years ago, Jacque Fresco was presented the Sustainable Cities & Communities award at the 2016 NOVUS Summit in conjunction with the United Nations division, UN DESA. It was a fitting recognition of his decades of work and research into sustainability, cities and communities.
Jacque’s holistic approach to cities was part of a sustainable social design that I was extremely fortunate to have collaborated on with him for 41 years. He enabled people all over the planet to understand how it could be possible to develop an environment which could surpass politics, poverty and war, where the main concern is the well-being of people, as well as the protection and restoration of the environment.
I was grateful to learn that I was invited to speak on July 20th at the 2019 NOVUS Summit, which was to be held at the General Assembly Hall at the United Nations headquarters in New York: https://novussummit.org/speakers/ The theme “Transforming Our World – Moonshots – Making the Impossible Possible” sounded perfect for introducing and expanding on The Venus Project’s innovative social direction. I also thought this would be the appropriate place for the debut of our latest CGI renderings of the Center for Resource Management to help people understand the steps we are taking toward the implementation of this sustainable social approach.
Unfortunately, the event had to be downsized at the last minute and was moved to a separate, smaller conference room within the UN. Consequently, the event also had to be reduced by three hundred attendees and several speakers, including myself.
I made many worthwhile connections with people who were not aware of The Venus Project and was pleased to have many people approach me who have been following The Venus Project for years. I also had the opportunity to do an audio interview for selected speakers and attendees.
Much of the event was concerned with going to space. The Venus Project works toward solving our problems here on Earth; where all of Earth’s resources would eventually become the common heritage of all the world’s people, eliminating the artificial boundaries that separate us. At that time—when we grow up as a species and attain a more appropriate value system as to how to interact with the environment and one another—we will be able to venture to outer space without bringing our inappropriate and destructive behaviors to other places in the universe.

Concerned about going to space…yet we haven’t even evolved socially….Will we put borders up in space as well? Funny. Is there a way we can start a petition and demand that the UN truly consider TVP? If the AREA 51 memes can generate this much attention..why cant TVP aim for something similar? Something witty…clever…that can go viral…reach the masses…and then allow them to delve deeper into the topic.
Due to media being weaponized in order to polarize humanity, I doubt we will be able to utilize mainstream media…
I also doubt anyone who listens to mainstream media will be enough of a critical thinker to understand the benefits of this society. But if we can do something that resonates with them on their level, it’s possible that we can generate interest and a ton of attention! Even if it’s surface level, at least we’d be generating the attention of others who do want to delve deeper..
Maybe catch the eyes of some important people…some wealthy people…

The bigger picture is even more sad, the fact that most people are on a downward slope into misery, sickness, worry, etc. and still search for solutions within the same old framework that has provided nothing but failure after failure. Is mankind/society incapable of expanding beyond the patterns it already knows? I guess time will tell.
It breaks my heart that this isn’t supported by leadership around the globe. The world is set for an imminent collapse in the next generation or two and there are people who work incredibly hard to offer realistic solutions to global problems, only to be wholesale ignored at best, or murdered at worst. I don’t know what to do. I feel helpless and honestly, if a community like this existed, I would move my family to it in a heartbeat. I hope we can get our heads out of our butts and make the change thats best for Earth and all her inhabitants, rather than just slaving ourselves away for the further enrichment of useless people who require nothing.
I know how you feel friend. Dont give up hope. More of us learn of new systems for living and old Beliefs ARE being challenged.
If we connect with others who question the world and its rules, I know we can make this vision a reality.

The Venus Project does not offer realistic solutions to anything. It’s proposed mechanism to distribute goods is simple a pipe dream of “smart men will figure it out”. At this point is borderline evil to even think it might work. TVP can’t even tell you how it’s first step, an inventory of resources, can be accomplished. So any time you spend pushing it is time spent avoiding problems, not solving them.

Потому что когда видишь своими глазами то, ради чего стараешься, то легче себя мотивировать идти дальше (лично для меня так). I think a great solution would be The Venus Projecy s connecting with the positive beleif shifting company, MindValley. They are a Humanity Plus Company that are changing the way people think
in a very positive and profound way by uprooting old negative belief systems with powerful new ideas. Just as the Venus Project is doing in a socio-economic sense.
If we want to bring The Venus Project into existence we must work with people who are changing the beliefs humanity has that are holding us back.
I emailed Mindvalley about connecting with Roxanne as I feel this would be a POWERFUL and POSITIVE relationship with both groups.

Yep, this is an example of how traditional structures and institutions work against of something what can not be beneficial to them. At the last minute, the event has been downsized and moved further where less people will find out about that. That’s the corruption of our structure.
Don’t worry, Our time will come. I will make every effort possible, so this project will come into the building phase in my lifetime.

And anyone thinking that we need to have competition that leads to conflict in any negative way let alone to violence has never lost someone they loved or are inhuman.
Gene Roddenberry saw that we need to co-operate to survive together as a species and THEN we could go explore and expand into space together in co-operation.

Such a pity, that would have been a great opportunity. Talking about connections I would like to propose to you one in particular. Have you considered talking to Greta Thunberg and other youth climate activists? I think it would be EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL for the Venus Project and the sake of humanity because these youths are creating momentum around the climate crisis and starting to question the existing system, looking for alternatives. What better moment than this to promote our ideas and new values for society? There is a huge potential to spread the Venus Project and the resource based economy. There is a lot of media attention on these kids and it would be a great way to direct all their positive energies towards an holistic approach. I can only imagine what Greta will be able to do when she learn about TVP and it will provide her with a more substantial alternative to talk about and TVP an unprecedented media attention.
I too only recently came across this incredible visionary and his partner in this incredible vision Roxanne.
In the movie many things struck me but one really stood out and I quote Jacque “The money system was designed hundreds of years ago and it no longer fits the situation” I am reminded of several quotes throughout history such as follows. “Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes it’s laws” — Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild this has not changed. The United states fell pray to this enslavement under President Woodrow Wilson as he so eloquently stated in 1936, quote “I am a most unhappy man. I accidentally ruined my country. A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of credit. Our government is no longer based on the freedom of opinion, nor on the conviction and the majority decision, it is now a government which is subjected to the conviction and the compulsion of a small group of dominant men” by then though it was too late because as he further stated quote “The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy” and so we are left with the world we have today but most interesting is this final quote as Jacque was a young man aged 16 to 18 with a vision again by the same author quote “We are citizens of the world. The tragedy of our times is that we do not know this”. Uncanny how this particular President realized this after the fact of his actions which placed the United States and the world under the control of a few banking elite at or around the same time Jacque was envisioning a future for us all with a way out of this. The moral of this story is we have to want better for all, envision it beyond our own personal beliefs and prejudices and finally bring it to fruition through our actions in spreading this vision of a better humanity. I sincerely hope that Jacque and Roxanne’s life work encompassing a better humanity is realized and that all born today, tomorrow or in the days and months ahead will be apart of or live within this bold vision for our present and future.
I hope in some small way I can contribute. I have signed up for your updates, twitter and You Tube and I just sent an email volunteering to help preserve all of Jacque’s tapes. At any time during this talk was the fatal problems with defining value and handling opportunity costs dealt with? Because if it wasn’t then she’s a fraud pushing snake oil that would get people killed if they tasted it.
To explain under TVP’s absurd psuedo-economics there is NO way to determine what should be produced or how because there is no way to assign value either to resources or products. This is not an innocent mistake either as I’ve been asking for an explanation for literally years. If the fraudsters in charge of TVP actually wanted to implement their system then they would have dealth with this problem. I assume they have not, but if I’m wrong please tell me how it’s done.
What kind of value are you talking about? Applying monetary value to resources on a RBE proposed by TVP would make no sense at all. Instead the monetary mechanism would be replaced by cybernated systems that balance production and distribution or supply and demand in today’s terms.
There is enough computer power today to do such a thing, just look up the fastest computers that already exist today, now imagine an array of them keeping a balanced economy and creating a worldwide network connecting every industry and every TVP city with one another and forming a worldwide database/inventory. Imagining such a concept t is not “rocket science” per se.
Today to some extent it is already being done in many industries. For example using barcodes on products is how supermarkets keep track of their items. Today many things are already being catalogued or in a database or inventory list.
And it has been proven time and again that researchers can come up with alternatives.
Today we already have alternatives to a lot of stuff from vanilla to meat to artificial rubber.
But the problem today is that goods and services depend on money and money is highly speculative and not based on anything else, it does not come anywhere close to representing the availability and potential for production, distribution and management of global resources and services. It looks like it doesn’t take a genius to see this.
Now some people might say that’s because money is no longer backed by gold, and what really is the difference there?
Could be baked by sea shells that it would still come down to the same problems we have today based around speculation and scarcity and causing detriments values to dominate society.
We need direct access to resources and TVP has made that clear.
Eliminating scarcity does have the potential to create an environment where what we consider to be positive and pro-social behaviour can flourish and probably the notion of what’s considered to be of value would change a lot in such a society.
Even now with the events and mass madness happening you come with such stupid afirmations about an idea that seeks to give abundance to all and a living standard never seen before…and it’s all duable since 70 years back. You sir need to put value on stuff, that’s your own problem and only you can educate yourself out of that state of mind!
Thus said I need to make an appeal to the “outside world” as here in Italy are being created atrocious mental health issues of the intensity of wich I can’t express in here and i blame it on the level of hypochondria some of these EU country had before de Crisis, imagining a Virus Potentially so Destructive and Deceiving like this damn Covid-19/Corona sweeping panic and more illnesses to the population provoking a worst scenario Disaster!
I urge all associations and non profit org, if there are any left with a spine, TO MAKE AN APPEAL AT THE HIGEST COURTS OF THIS WORLD AND STOP THE MASS MEDIA MADNESS PUSH AND BLAME GAME APPLIED ON THE CITIZENS!!!

I think you are approaching the problem incorrectly.
It is much more difficult to change the minds of those who are not seeking.
You were on the right path with buying the large peice of land in the middle of Florida. “Build it and they will come is true.” If you build a better system people will want to use it. That is textbook business 101, ex: Google, iphone, etc…
I have watched TedX videos of billionaires who share your same ideas. I would look for them and stop with seeking the publicity and just start. I worry that Florida may not be a good location though because of the time you need and the raising water table. It may seem like an odd suggestion but there are two other locations that have many times more people who are open to you message. Places that have bad living conditions but a skilled labor force is more ripe for change. I think it will be much more difficult in the US than say were 1.3B or 1.5B people are currently residing. Speak with their enviromentalist leaders and see if a senergy exisits. Those places the sheer mass of bodies can persuade their government. Not possible in the US anylonger as you have undoubtedly experienced.
